To our ASAC membership,  As mentioned at our annual meeting last week the Hatteras situation is getting worse. As of yesterday. Approximately 50 %  of WALK ON BEACH is now closed to access. Are you getting upset yet?  Please get everyone you know to sign the petition and send your congressman a letter to support HR 4094.  We can win this thing if everyone uses the power of the pen.  For more info on HR 4094 introduced by Congressman Jones CLICK HERE.

To:           All Club Presidents, Host club chairman, ASAC board members, trustees and regional directors.

From:      Jim Jefferys ASAC Pres.

I will be having an informal meeting on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the FOP Lodge in Berlin, New Jersey (directions to the lodge below).   At this time we will have a tentative calendar of events and take any address changes or tournament changes for the coming year. We will have at this meeting important items and information for all host clubs for the coming year and 2013.Some will wonder why discuss 2013 . Well at this time, the Ocean City Fishing Club will be celebrating its 100 birthday. A major tournament is planned for their birthday and they will need not only cooperation from all but input also.

If any club wants to change their tournament date or drop their tournament, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you cannot make it to the meeting, send someone in your place so you so your club will be informed.  Please, only 2 members per club unless they are an ASAC officer, etc.  Remember, this is not a voting meeting, just a get together for the parties listed above. Also, if you are thinking about a by-law change or a fish change, this is the perfect time to see if your ideas will be accepted one way or the other by a good majority of the member clubs. New ideas are always welcomed by the Board, so don’t be shy and tell us what you think.

The meeting will start at 9:15 AM and finish at 1:00 PM. We will serve coffee and donuts at 8:30AM and lunch at 12:00 noon.  Please call Jim Jefferys at 609-624-1427 or 609-846-3279 or email him at jandjjefferys@verizon.net if you plan to attend so we can plan on food.
